Hello Alan. I am finally ready to buy a set of boat plans. I like the Tahitian 27 as a small motorsailer. The Tahitian seem to be well thought of by knowledgeable sailors. I also like the Hartley 24 for its seemingly ease of building in plywood. Also configured as a small motorsailer. I live in the U.S. near Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River system.

Beyond being consumed with the desire to build my own boat my dream is to cruise the Caribbean. I am now retired and wish to take the path of least resistance or the shortest approach to my goal. Cruising to Jamaica. Your thoughts on the suitability of these two designs would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Khary Sudan
