Replacing chain plates
Putting new chain plates on Sanuye.
Another view of the rear chainplate. You can see where the old one was. I filled it with resin, but need to sand it smooth.

Backing plates for the upper and forward lower shroud (aft lower shoud is the same. You can see the 5 layers of woven roving I reinforced the hull...

All the old hull tabs (chainplates?) These are glasses into the hull to support the deck backing plates which are what the chain plates are screwed...
Left one was from the port side and is very rusted.... as I cut into the glass rusty water poured out.

Work area for making the seven new chainplates. There will be one for the stern and three for each side (1 upper and 2 lowers).

The old stern chainplate... you can see why I am replacing it... and all the rest while I am at it.
