Sailnet is not as active a forum as this one and the moderation is not as heavy-handed. That being said, I find the content on this forum to be more interesting in general than that that on SailNet. But maybe that's just because there is more content here. And don't get me wrong, the mods can be pretty douchey over there too.

Once, after a particularly irritating disagreement with a mod here (that earned me my first "infraction"), I took a 6 month leave of absence from CF. I had intended not to come back at all, but in the end, I did. There's more good than bad here and there's always Sailing Anarchy if you need to mix it up with people without being hassled about it.

I'm considering dumping out of the CF after a moderator here seems intent on putting silly restrictions on links in some of my posts. I see that you also post on Sailnet site and was wondering how you like it?
