Favorite 'Imbibement'

Okay, all. What is your favorite imbibement while at anchor?? Mixed? Wine? Beer? You name it.

Hmmmmm.....

Hard to choose, some days beer is the only answer. At night on the hook, not a breath of wind, the moon riseing in the twilight summer sky, this calls for a glass of GOOD pinot noir. If the admiral is not about and its just us seadogs, Sailor Jerry's spiced rum. Or if lementing the loss of a favorite tool overboard....one bourbon, one scotch, one beer.

Wooo Hooooo!!!!

Same as when the kids ask who is the favorite.

"I love you all, dear."

This has to be the best reply so far.
With apologies to Inkwell, I will even drink a Bud if there is nothing else. Since the European's bought Bud it hasn't gotten any better, IMHO. There are some decent US boutique brewery beers available in the US but they cost a lot more then 'Bud' or 'Pabst'. Go with the flow.
Everything is subjective though so if you like 'Bud' then that is your choice.
I like keeping some rum on board though: Black Seal is one of the best Bermuda rums, IMHO, and can be sipped neat or mixed. There really are too many different rums from nearly everywhere sugar cane grows to figure out which is best. It is fine to just figure out what you like and what works for you.

From Ray Davies and the Kinks:
"Oh demon alcohol,
Sad memories I cannot recall,
Who thought I would say,
Damn it all and blow it all,
Oh demon alcohol,
Memories I cannot recall,
Who thought I would fall a slave to demon alcohol.
Sad memories I cannot recall,
Who thought I would fall a slave to demon alcohol.

Barley wine, pink gin,
He'll drink anything,
Port, pernod or tequila,
Rum, scotch, vodka on the rocks,
As long as all his troubles disappeared.
...
It's such a shame."

I still love you all.

Beer is getting way too expensive here, so it's usually Rum.

A mug of steaming gluhwein in winter.

An ice cold stiletto in summer.

Cheers.

And a Foster's kangaroo piss would be preferred by myself as well.
It is kind of sad as beer used to have some flavor and taste but the mass marketed stuff in the US is, well, worse then kangaroo piss.
JMHO.
