best online video sailing resources?

Hi all,

I posted recently on depowering sails, and greatly enjoyed reading all of the many thoughtful replies.

I have been reading a TON on sailing here and elsewhere, and of course getting out on the boat.

But reading only goes so far. Are there any recommended online sailing video instructions that you would recommend? esp interested in sail trimming, docking, proper use of equipment, etc.

Any suggestions most welcome,

Cheers

are those the tubes the internet comes in?

and yes, thank you, i had considered that. all my searches there come up with more garbage than treasure. any specific channels/posters/searchterms that arent just some yachtie dude showing his wife/gf/mistress in a bikini (not that there is anything wrong with that)?

Try searching "utube sailing tutorials" on google. I haven't watched any of them but the titles look like what you want.

Many thanks to those who've replied!

I dont mean to sound too snarky, but in addition to having found youtube i have also found google. I was wondering if anyone had any specific, go to video source for sailing technique. The search results ones are very uneven to say the least.

Cheers

There are so many on youtube it aint funny.. just keep changing your search terms and adding channels as you find them. Before you know it, YT will be recommending other similar channels to you. ( btw, you need to sign up to YT to subscribe to channels if you didnt already know that :- D)

I've been watching these as well as the Annapolis Sailing video series. It may not be for anyone with experience; however, I have learned from them.

Have you tried any p2p sites.... I have found quite a bit of great information with p2p exchange.
