Thumbs up Yes, there is sailing in Colorado - Hi!

One of those couples, you know the type. Making plans for when the last leaves the house! We spend the summer weekends on our boat, sailing a crazy winded lake. Spend the winters living from scuba vacation to scuba vacation and working inbetween! I am often on the computer, surfing for information...about boats.

Wife and I just picked up our first boat yesterday, on top of Monarch Pass (read the blog I listed elsewhere for a picture or two)

We're taking classes in the spring and hope to be in the water not too long after that with our own boat we've put some time and effort into.

I'm ready to go now, but, alas I have to do some work on the boat first.

We'll be in Pueblo for the first few times.

maybe see you there?

Rick

Aloha Shark,
Welcome aboard! Scuba and sailing do go together. I took scuba lessons and got my gear many years ago so that I could clean the bottom of my sailboat. I enjoy the recreational diving here in Hawaii too.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Lots of sailing in CO. Twin lakes, Blue Mesa, Pueblo, Grandby/Grand, and my hang out Dillon. Front range lakes include Cherry Creek, Chatfield, Horsetooth and Carter just to name a few. Just don't get wet brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Ah yes...Carter Lake. That is where I learned to sail. Spent a lot of time on Boyd too.
Then the USCGA....and now San Diego and my first "Real" Ocean going boat that is owned by me and not the government! ;O)

Good luck to ya!

Talking Thank you!

Thank you for the nice replies! Very welcoming! Someone finally touched upon our little weekend home, Carter Lake. The only lake I know, that you head into the wind alway the way down to the other end, hoping for a nice ride back, only to find, which every way you go, you are always into the wind! How does that work?!!?! Oh well, lots of practice at tacking and jibing! It is a fun lake and a fun community and we are learning so much! We have a beautiful boat to live on for long weekends, and it is truly our respite from our "work lives"! I look forward to the day where truly we can spend weeks sailing and diving and no, no diving in Carter, Brrrrr!
