Upcoming Run Through the Bahamas

Hi All, I'm new here and am looking for some advice. I recently purchased a 34' Baha King Cat with twin 350 mag mpi's. I've spent a fair amount of dough outfitting with electronics, safety gear, new windlass, ect.ect. ring goes the cash register. Curently, the boat lays in miami beach until jan 8th when I start my run thru the bahamas to grand turks. My brother was schedualed to go with me, but had to back out due his father in law taking ill. I've read a few books and found that this is no trip to make single handed. I'm looking for someone to share the ride(not the expenses) and, so far, hav'nt had any luck figuring how to go about that. I posted on a yahoo singles sight and recieved a # of loony-tune replies. ( DUH,... what did i expect!) Anyway, any help would appreciated. Thanks for reading and MERRY CHRISTMAS. (polliticaly in-correct? I don't think so!)

You could make the trip solo:

After ya have crossed the Gulfstream (8 hours) the rest is island hopping.
A good autopilot and a good anchor is all ya need. (And good charts, get the Explorer Chart books)

CSY< You missed his engine info. Time across the stream probably = 1+ hour.
