New guy, new boater, hopefully the right forum

Howdy all,

Hopefully I'm in the right forum. I noticed after I signed up a lot of references to sailboats, however I own a small bowrider. Before I start asking questions I guess I need to find out if I'm in the right forum. If not can someone recommend a forum for owners of my type of boat preferable in northeast Florida area.

Thanks in advance
Stan

Well, we have one thing in commin, you have a Harley Davidson Road King and I ride a Harley Davidson Heritage Springer and I do own a power boat. There is a power boat section on this forum and if you have questions you will get alot of answers, very experienced people here.I will say that this forum helps alot of inexperienced people searching for answers. Alot of folks here are geared for coastal cruising and world cruising. We will answer any questions you throw our way concerning anything that floats on the ocean. I would recommend searching the forum for awhile and then you will see if you feel you belong here. Welcome to one of the best Cruising forums that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

About the only requirement is a love of boating and a desire to travel. It's not about how far you go or what boat you sail. We probably have fewer power boats but among friends I would say they run 50/50. Boating is still pretty much boating. There just happens to be room for a lot of different preferences.

Maybe we have something of interest to you as well. It's not like we won't let you participate if you just want to talk about boating and places to go. You obviously have been some places and could share a little bit about those to add to what goes on here. I can't say I've found many specific forums about small bowriders in Florida but give it a try and see what you find. We never close.

Your most welcome here and I hope you get a lot out of the place. One problem you will find with being here, You will want to get a bigger boat :-)
There is also a place here BoaterEd that specializes in the smaller boat. I know that one area we seem to be thin on here is outboard engine questions and answers. That link may help you with that.
