New Dreamer In England.

Hi gang,

I'm Renee, aka Moxie Girl. Am American by birth, but living in the UK dreaming of moving to the ocean. I know very little, dare I say virtually nothing about sailing. But that's a trivial hurdle.

Am going to start at a sailing school next year, and if all goes well, in 6 years or so will have my own boat and sailing the seas. MG

Sounds great but 6 years is a lifetime away. You could buy an Alberg30 in the Chesapeake Bay for under $10k on Craiglist and sail it across the Atlantic to England :-)

I would suggest you do a couple of RYA courses. Dream or Two in Gossport are a great crowd. My wife just did a begginners course and can't wait to ge back. Check it out !

Yes, I've found a couple schools that are quite local to me, and plan on getting on the water next year. Can't wait!
