I've Started Preparing the Boat

Hello,
after all your help in finding the right boat for me, can anybody recommend a budget and good solar panel or wind electricity generator, a water desalinator and a marine gps?
Thanks again guys

Hi,
You might pick a different forum and start a new thread such as "Recommendation for a Good GPS" or "What's a Good Wind Generator?".
Good luck in getting some good information. I have always had good luck with Garmin products for GPS but there might be other folks here who might have a product they really like.
kind regards,

Short of turning you upside-down & shaking you hard, I'm not sure how anyone will be able to figure out your budget. If you are squeezing the pennies, I'd suggest solar, rather than wind. I'd also suggest getting your panels on Ebay, because the prices at retail, or supposed wholesale, stores is very high. A handheld Garmin GPS with a mounting bracket will do the job - both, onboard & if you have to abandon ship - & the only cheap desalinator is one you build yourself, unless you are only looking for an emergency solution, in which case, something like this might work: Emergency Personal Desalinator (Seapack Crew) - Watermakers Otherwise, I haven't heard of anything more popular than the Katadyn units, at the lower end of the production market.
