Hi - New Morgan 382 Owner

Hi All,

First of all, thank you all for your help in the past few months for referrals and information.

My girlfriend and I are the new owners of "Calypso", a Morgan 382 #161. Our plan is to sail her from the East Coast to the Bahamas, then to Central America, cross the Panama canal and go to the South Pacific islands. From there, we do not know yet, but we entertain the idea of an around the world cruise. We plan to depart in November 2011.

As she is currently in Florida, while we live in California, we are going to store her on the dry until next spring, when we will move to Florida to refit and equip her, and get to know her, before our departure.

It will be tough to wait until next Spring before to truly enjoy owning her, but in the meantime, we will have many questions on this board.

Cheers
Philippe & Erin

Congratulations on the new boat and welcome to the forum. The South Pacific is also my dream but I think you might get there sooner.

We had a Morgan 41, and that was probably the simplest, safest boat I've ever been on. I really hope you have adventures like I had on mine.

Congrats on the new boat! If all goes well, we are hoping to head towards Florida and the Bahamas at the same time as you. Hopefully we will see you around!
