Hi All

Just signed up due to a recommendation from Popeye from the L&A BB. Looks like this will be a good site. Many topics!
I am moving back aboard my 42'Colvin Gazelle junk rig steel schooner. I'm pretty excited. We lived on a diff. boat for 2ys. Did the house thing for 1 yr. Decided to sell house and move back aboard to seriously plan for cruising.

Thumbs up Hi LadyM

Sounds great to give up the 'house thing' and live on your boat.

Since you're the 10th person to post a message to this board you can choose a special title for yourself to replace 'Junior Cruiser'. What do you say?

Next chance for that is to be the first member to post 50 messages ...

Thumbs up Hi LadyM

Zephyr Spirit it is!

Nice title, what's the story behind it?

Talking

Hi Gisle,

I tried to attach a picture of my boat but the file was too big (I didn't check the file size-stupid me) and my initial message was wiped.

Anyway, the title is more a feeling than a story. A feeling of freedom.

Zephyr Spirit
A gentle breeze unencumbered by earthly boundries-seeking whatever is wishes.

That is what sailing does for me. Makes me feel free. Of course, freedom isn't all fun and games. Freedom takes hard work and dealing with some pretty scary situations at times. But usually, it makes you a stronger person and gives you a healthy perspective of life which usually makes you a happier person.

Besides-the name sounds cool.

Good luck and fair winds on your trip. I wish I was going with!--One day, I'll be out there as well.
