Hello from Puget Sound

We just bought a 1975 22' Reinell sailboat yesterday... launched it and sailed it last night. We are not new to boating, but we are new to sailing (if you don't count my experiences on a 10 ft sailboat when I was a kid.)

We're excited to find this site... we can use all the help we can get! Will probably be here a lot... except right now we want to get out in the boat!

See y'all around.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
We finally retired our club's Reinell 26 after so many hardware, rigging and performance failures. Be very cautious of cleats and winches. The boat we had was not put together very well. I hope yours is. If not, it just may be your first boat on your way to bigger and better. Sail the heck out of it and then sell it when you're ready.
Congratulations!
kind regards,

Glad you have joined.
I ran into a family of 4 out for a week on a boat like yours. They were at the dock in Port Ludlow on the way to the islands. Having a ball.
There are plenty of real nice folks on this site.

Re: Hello from Puget Sound

I wrote that 8 years ago? Where does the time go???

We had no problems with the Reinell... just loved sailing and wanted bigger and better, as you said. We kept her for 5 years, then bought a MacGregor 26M. We live on a small island with few choices for mooring anything larger, so this may be as big as we get.
