Hello from NOLA

Hi All,
After lurking a bit and learning a tremendous amount, thought I would check in. I'm a 40 y/o from New Orleans, originally from FL. My family (wife Michele and 3 kids) enjoy sailing in Lake Pontchartrain and are planning a trip over to FL/Bahamas in the spring. This is our 1st boat since Katrina and we are looking forward to spending some time exploring the Gulf coast during the winter. Though I'd say hi and start asking questions !

Welcome, there is a lot of good information available here. Cruising along the Gulf Coast is very nice lots of barrier Isalnds with white sand but a bit shallow in some spots, be carefull. We are planning a trip down to the Fl. Keys in the Spring maybe we'll see you on the water. My trawler is kept in Houma, LA
Where do you keep your boat?
Steve

Thanks for the welcomes! Hey Steve, we are at Southshore Harbor, newly rebuilt. We are also FL bound in the spring with stops in the Keys, hope to see you out there.
