Hello from Mexico

Hey all!

I've been surfing this place quite a lot in the past couple of years but never posted anything. I don't know how much posting I will be doing, but I thought it made sense to make an account and introducing myself, considering I drop by so often.

A little about myself, I'm a Mexican with a passion for sailing since I was a kid (although I mostly sail a Laser, and the ocassional 21-27 footer), and a love for the sea. I first hopped on a small sailboat with my grandfather when I was 4 or so, it was a Flying Junior, and I loved the feeling of it. When he first let me control the rudder, I loved it even more, and the first time I tried a Laser solo (I must have been 12) was the first time I really tasted freedom and self-reliance, and I've loved it ever since.

Now I'm 26, and I'm an insurance salesman. After finishing Highschool I backpacked Mexico for about a year working small jobs, I entered college and almost majored in History but realized if I kept going that way (academic life) chances were I'd be stuck in Mexico City, so I had a small career change and got into cooking (you can do that ANYWHERE), almost a year back, a friend introduced me to insurance and now I work for a subsidiary company for New York Life here in Mexico, and have been very happy with it.

I don't have many things for certain in life, except for the fact that I will eventually move to the sea and into a boat.

I love traveling, as everyone else in here does, I assume. Really can't think of much more to say and I guess we will get to know each other as I read more people's posts and throw in a cent or two.

Cheers!
