Hello from Ian McHenry on S/V Air Gadis in Andaman Islands !

Hey everyone!

Adam Wible and I finally bought a 1995 Beneteau Oceanis 351 and have outfitted it for cruising Asia Pacific. Check out our blog to track us. We are bright yellow and hard to miss! Currently in Port Blair and headed to Sabang, Indonesia at the end of the month. We are first time sailors so have been mooching all of your collective wisdom to ramp up the learning curve. See you out on the water!

Hi Ian and crew,
if you haven't chosen to go to Havelock by now, consider going there

Thanks, Laidback! Were at Havelock a week back. Beautiful beaches but the coral is really suffering - big shame. Has it always been much worse than the Buttons?

Super Blog !! Love the humour - know many of the personalities mentioned.
The coral throughout the Andamans and Nicobars suffered as a result of the Great Tsunami. The western islands of Sumatra very badly affected because the western coastlines were lifted as much as a metre. Gradually coming back to life.

Recently after buying our boat, while on our honeymoon in Thailand (by plane) we were taken out snorkeling on a Canadian cruising boat. Since then, I've been dying to get back with our boat. Enjoy!
