Hello from Germany

Hello,

my wife and me we are looking for the right boat.
We had 2,5 years a steel Ketch and cruised around in Thailand, Malaysia. We made the Sail-Malaysia Rally 2010 and it was a nice experience.

Now our steel boat is sold and we are currently looking for a cat. But it is hard to find a cat which is worth it's money.

I already read some interesting post and I'm sure I can find more .

Best regards

Markus

Re: Hello from Germany

Hello Markus and welcome to CF. I know Gummersbach (bin Mainzer, also auch "Helau") and it is pretty far from the ocean I'm currently waiting for my new boat, a Jeanneau monohull, to complete commissioning before sailing away. Good luck in the search for the right boat. German friends of mine purchased a used Voyage 380 catamaran and are sailing in the Caribbean (see their German blog at bcsegeln)

Re: Hello from Germany

My dad was in Germany with the Army so I was born in Wurzburg. Now I'm in the military and right now, I'm down the road a bit in Wiesbaden, near Frankfurt.

Welcome to CF.

Hi Markus!

Believe me, there are countless great choices in this department. Sure you will find something you like!

If you like light boats have a look at Edel - they seem very much back in business.

Cheers,
b.
