Greetings From Canvey Island (UK)

Hello,
I'm reading this forum for quite long time now, decided that's the time to register
For now I'm in a process of building (just started!) TIKI 30 - and ready to move aboard my friend's Bruce Roberts 44 (which would spend winter in my boatyard - I would have much closer to my boat). ETA is 20 of OCT so quite soon. Finally aboard!

I hope I would be able to get some advice from you (and hopefully, help someone as well) - I'm sailing for a while now (ok, 20+ years), last trip to the high Arctic this year (onboard the boat mentioned above) with nice bunch of friends as a crew, but the building side can be challenging... OK, I did a fair amount of work on different boats, but never build my OWN... you know what I mean, much more stressful one

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. Is your Tiki a Wharram design? I've done a few repairs to a 23 here that the club owns and the construction looks fairly straightforward. I'd not do any overbuilding because they seem to sail better when lighter.
kind regards,

As usual in life, ETA was a bit optimistic. They may finally make there next weekend...
