Greetings and Weather question

I am delighted to have found this site and look forward to reading more.
I did not find a forum heading dealing specifically with weather. Did I overlook it? Possibly.
Regardless, I am interested in becoming a sponsoring member of the Waterway Net so as to qualify for individual assistance from Chris Parker on our upcoming transit from TCI to our home port, Hilton Head, SC.
Any advice or guidance is appreciated.

Chris Parker's weather advice is highly regarded by cruisers. I used his services myself on a ten and a half day passage from St. Thomas to the Tampa Bay area last November. After giving a general weather briefing for the SW North Atlantic cruising area he invites "sponsors" to check in for individual routing advice. He uses different frequencies at different times of the morning to facilitate good SSB reception.

I found is advice to be very accurate and very helpful. In particular, he advised us of a relatively narrow weather window between fronts for crossing the Gulf Stream, which we hit perfectly "on the run" up the NW Providence Channel. If we'd been a few hours later, we would have had to hang out in Bimini for a couple of days, waiting for the next opportunity.

I used his "passage sponsorship" option, rather than the annual "sponsorship". It was about half the annual fee.

Thanks for the reply. I hope to learn how to contact Chris or his organization directly. I have been to the Waterway Net website and still don't see how to become a subscriber.
