You've apparently been on that site.... lol . One of the funniest post in ages!

Sounds a bit like the movie "M*A*S*H", during the football game.

Yes, I can now see how easily CF will win; I note that SS is already in training as evidenced by her new avatar pic (while maintaining the CF standard).

This is my vacation residence, so I think we are ready to do battle.

Re: Why CF Wins

For me CF is like being in a worldwide boatyard with lot's of fellow boaters with advice and experience one can learn from and where one can also share advice too. Plus you can wade into or ignore whatever discussions you want too. It can get a little salty at times but, hey it's a sailors forum! We need to carry on some traditions!

Re: Why CF Wins

I must admit, Ive nearly had to walk the plank a few times but thats all a few leagues ago now.

Ive thought of jumping ship a few times too, mainly cos I dont have a boat with a tree trunk and flappy furly stuff aloft but nice peeps are hard to find and birds of a feather have flocked together here to make the good ship CF a kewl place to hang and chill.

Its also nice to know you can ask dumb questions and get some half dumb answers along with the useful ones. No names mentioned (DOJ)

When I joined 3 yrs ago I think the membership was just under 30k and now its almost 80k. Ok, most lurk and dont speak up very often, but thats not a bad thing, at least everyone KNOWS they dont have to be shy and wont get a rough ride if they break cover.

All things considered guys, your ok people. (and Mods too)

Warning~~thread drift.

anjou, have you ever considered converting your canal boat to electric propulsion? I have always thought the slow speed of canal boats combined with their large top sides for solar, would make a perfect solar electric power boat.
