Re: Spain and Ebola: Discuss

As a younger person, I learned very quickly that truth was an optional extra when it came to companies, nations, leaders and governments. I also saw that vested interests in politics religion and medicine would discolour accuracy in 'validated and truthful reports' from the media, who are guided by external forces.

To this end, Im looking at this whole scenario minus the "chatter" from news and politics. Im just looking at know symptoms, and not projections or theories. It will take a little more time to ascertain what can be done. There are many factors involved, not least that original Ebola would suddenly disappear as quickly as it appeared. That would be a good result and as possible as any other scenario.

Re: Spain and Ebola: Discuss

interesting article here concerning the transmission of ebola by animals
Ebola And Animals: What You Need To Know

excerpt from article
Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said in a news conference on Tuesday that “we know in rural areas of Africa, Ebola can infect mammals. In fact, that’s how it spreads, from probably bats to animals living in the forest, people hunting the animals.” Ebola has to date been found in many bush animals, including bush pigs, rodents, porcupines and forest-dwelling antelope. Any infected carcasses could spread the virus to hunters or to anyone who eats bush meat.

Dogs

To date, there is no documented case of Ebola spreading to people from dogs or dogs to people, and only one study, carried out by the CDC, looks at whether dogs can get Ebola at all. This research into the prevalence of Ebola-virus antibodies in dogs from regions of Gabon affected by the 2001–2002 outbreak showed that “dogs can be infected by Ebola virus” but exhibit no symptoms and the infection eventually clears.

The researchers concluded that “dogs could be a potential source of human Ebola outbreaks and of virus spread during human outbreaks,” but they did not test their hypothesis that human infection could occur through licking, biting or grooming. Instead, the study assumed dogs would transmit the infection in the same way as other animals observed in experiments; those animals excreted viral particles (in saliva, urine, feces) for a short period before the virus was cleared.

Re: Spain and Ebola: Discuss

I think this current outbreak was traced to a three year old boy who got bitten by a fruit bat in December of 2013. Kid died. Everybody who attended the funeral took the disease home with them. Rest is history.

Interesting video from July(?) showing a little bit of what the situation on the ground in Liberia last summer was like. Notice the girl cut her hand while she is preparing diner. Mmmmm, monkey meat! (Sorry Salty!)

So you're actually trying to say that since the article doesn't mention Nigeria that means Nigeria is suppressing information?! Wow. I suppose that Nigeria is also a landing pad for UFO aliens and because this article doesn't mention that it proves that Lagos is covering it up!

Sorry, but not wanting to pass on disinformation such as made up speculation about new modes of transmission (something you seem comfortable with) does not equate to denial. I said up front that it's something to be very concerned about. I just don't believe in panicking based on heresay and false info.

You're the one that said absence of evidence means anything you want it to!
