You see, that's what I thought, it wasn't about how big it was, it was how you used it. It's what I thought anyway.

so we all concur with above--"it aint the meat its the motion'...LOL.....hay--it comes from a song so it has to be ok.

smb-if it is getting difficult to fly, then ye just have to sail.

Just joking! Kidding about Salty saying men are like flies. You know me - I'm a fan of the species, both, men and flies! That is, the fruit flies, the little cute ones.

Hey Thanks Flysci.....
It was a damned hard slog... near sinking off Tarifa when we hit some flotsam in heavy weather... she slammed down hard off the top of a wave and 10 mins later the crew reported ankle deep water in the hulls... and the hand pumps failed... wotta bugga.... managed to get her into Barbate where we waited 5 days for calm weather then motored 200+miles to Almerimar for repairs... luckly the weather stayed calm the whole way.
Catalacs are not good to windward and we had easterlies from Portimao all the way to Pendik... bar four days... but respect to the boat.. for a 40yr old she did OK.
Started out from Ipswich on June 9th and arrived Pendik the evening of Sept 1st.
Currently sitting in the airport waiting for the flight back to base... even thats a long tack.. Lisbon via Frankfurt... LMAO.
But we did meet some great people and saw some beaut places along the way. so no real complaints... just wish we'd missed that log/barrel/whatever.

I am with Sm - Holy smokes BoatMan!

Ah. I love it when the crew reports ankle deep water in the cabin..brings back such fond memories and of course the pumps break, that is triggered by ankle deep water in the cabin.
Glad you are well,
Erika
