Yes, us also. I asked Tim and he told me their ISP was having 'serious problems'. I was told it would be back running 'shortly'.

Re: Sailblogs.com misssing?

I find this a great tool for checking if it is just me or a general problem.

Down For Everyone Or Just Me -> Check if your website is down or up?

This is slightly off topic but for those who use sailblogs - if you "enable RSS" in your settings then people like me who use feed readers can subscribe to your blog. I understand that it is disabled by default.

I can't count how many sailblog blogs I've wanted to follow but ended up forgetting about or dismissing because they don't enable RSS. I bookmark them with a sigh, and they just end up occupying space within 1000's of other bookmarks.... If you use sailbogs.com, please enable RSS. I had no idea it was even an option, but now that I know I'll start being a pest and emailing people to let them know they need to change their settings

Re: Sailblogs.com misssing?

I would love to change my settings if only I could get on. This is very upsetting to me. I have friends in Columbia that are trying to catch up with our blog and can't. I hope this isn't a common problem.

Re: Sailblogs.com misssing?

from the sailblogs Administrator this morning...

"We're having some major network issues at the ISP hosting the servers. It
should be resolved in the next couple of hours."

Re: Sailblogs.com misssing?

Since this happened at the 1st of the month, maybe their ETF payment got lost for the hosting fees!

Re: Sailblogs.com misssing?

Hi folks -

Again apologies for the downtime last week. As others reported, there was a serious problem with the internal network at the ISP that prevented the servers from accessing the network storage devices. Its been taken care of as of saturday and we're running normally again. I also sent a follow up to everyone who emailed me asking about the server status.

I don't regularly follow this form because of time, but I did want to address a couple things that came up in this thread:

@Loco: We pay for the hosting on a yearly basis, not monthly so rest assured that our bills are paid :-)

@callmecrazy, @Livia et. al. : RSS feeds are enabled by default on all blogs set up in the SailBlogs system. Members have the option to turn the feed off. If you are not able to subscribe to a particular blog, you should contact the blog owner and see if the feed has been enabled.

Thanks again,

tim
