Thanks for the explanation, I never would have made the connection otherwise....

Mine is because whenever i'm near the ocean no one can keep me out of it. my teachers on a fieldtrip one time got mad at me and were embarassed because i rode home from cumberland island in wet clothes so that i could go swimming in the sea one last time before my teacher could grab me so they told my mom that i was like a little otter and it stuck.

Mine comes from my old band's name back when I was still hoping to make it as a usician. Of course, playing Texas country/rock, we had named the band after Jett Rink's fictional oil company, JETEXAS, featured in the movie Giant.

I was a little more in shape and a lot more vain back then. lol

I would have gone with our boat's name, but we still haven't come up with one yet. Plus, I was already JeTexas on the Porsche repair forum, so it's easier to remember one user name.

Little otter, you brought such great memories from when I was a kid in Hawaii. If there was water nearby I was swimming (it being an Island that was everyday). At first my parents tried to reason with me that if I didn't have my bathing suit on then I couldn't go swimming, this plan back fired when I'd strip down to my "birthday suit" and run for the ocean whether I was walking to school or the grocery store, I too remember a lot of car rides home in wet salty clothes..ah thems were good times! Why can't we stay five forever.

Mine is quite pathetic compared to some here!!!

I moved to Staten Island a few years ago and needed an email to contact family and so I wanted to brag about being in NYC. I like to tell people the Savage comes from my fighting abilities.....or if its a special someone, my bedroom antics! But the truth is simply my surname!!! Lol

Bluestocking: Oxford Def. A pedantic and sometimes ostentatious lady.

The boat's 2 previous owners lavished care on her, and she had feminine names with historical significance here in Bermuda
Wife took one look at her and said "that boat's a bluestocking"

Mine is just because I feel so grateful and appreciative so much of the time -- and am aiming for MORE of the time, ALL of the time.

(Plus I love all the Spanish-speaking countries I've visited or lived in, especially Mexico, and I love the language itself.)

Kind of like the 'porn star name' game...

What's your porn star name game you ask?

There are three ways of going about this, pick the best one for you.

Method 1. Take your middle name and the name of your first pet. Put them together for your porn star name.

Method 2. Substitute your first pet's name with the name of the street you grew up with.

Method 3. and usually the best one, take your first pet's name and the street you grew up on

Post the funniest one

Mine came from a dream my son had. He was in Asia somewhere and there were small fried snacks called "cherps" being sold at roadside stalls. So mine is fried, edible and imaginary.
