Winter Liveaboard: Boat Systems

Hi all,

I will be livingaboard in NJ, this will be my first aquatic winter.

I understand the three big issues
1)Heat
2)condensation
3)ice

What I don't understand how to manage is the issue of systems on the boat freezing ie: waterlines. What about through hulls? Diesel engine? shower? etc.
