Pillar Point Harbor is a viable option, but seriously, with a tech job and a hour + commute each way between boat and work, you're just not going to sail every night. My suggestion is to find a couple of roommates in San Jose, get your rent to sub $1K and berth the boat somewhere on SF Bay, which is a whole lot mo'fun than the South Bay or fickle wind off PPH. Then, take off work at a reasonable hour on Friday, stay 2-3 nights onboard, sail to your heart's content every day, and head back to work completely carefree on Monday morning
