Good luck to them and I'll be back following their travels.

Rich kids? Perhaps you ought to read their blog. They worked hard, were lucky along the way and made some money, enough to live the dream.

Perhaps your jealousy is getting in the way of your objectivity?

There ya go, Atoll! You said something, at last, that kind of made sense, if you squint your eyes, and look at everything sideways.

So? Congrats to Pat and Allie for structuring their lives in a manner they wanted to. I may be 60, and not have the complete freedom they do, but I made my life choices, they made theirs.

Am I jealous? You bet!

Envious? Not a bit... and I strongly support the things they are doing. Read their whole blog, and you will realize that Pat is still using some of the skills and knowledge he acquired while working to earn money even now.

Good for the "kid", who has done more his way then 99% of those on this board, including me.

Well, perhaps they are trying to catch up to your 3 times; I mean, they've done it once, and now with kids, they are doing it again. And even "downgraded" to an old monohull. Imagine that... from a newer cat to an old mono, bought sight unseen.

What's next? Them anchoring 100 yards off a lee shore in a 30 knot wind?

Re: The Bum(fuzzle)s Are Moving Afloat Again !

Well I deleted the post to avoid a 20 post battle. But I read the article from the first link and that was a noble thing you did. You happened to land at an island where folks were in trouble. How does that give you authority to belittle someone else. Why did you stop there, to save them and be a hero or to provision?
