Brand New to Cruisers Forum

I would like to sail from Richland, WA to Cabo San Lucas, Baja in a 15' PocketShip sail boat alone. My question is this, have others successfully made this type of voyage? My thought is to stay pretty close to the shoreline once in the Pacific and sail from port/anchorage to the next, resting at anchor every few days, taking as long as it takes to make the trip. I'd leave the boat in Cabo, and fly home. I'm retired, in pretty good health, and have many years of sailing/boating experience, but none of this magnitude.

Is this a fool's wish, or could someone actually safely sail to Mexico in a 15' boat?

If the weather is very good it could be done- but why not put it on a trailer and drive it there?

Welcome aboard LRF!

It's the adventure, I assume, not the final outcome. LRF may get to Coos Bay and give up. At least he would be going the right direction.
Mid July to late aug. would be the time to leave, with appropriate safety gear!!!!
