Buy in USA

Hi I'm from Australia looking to buy a boat on the the East coast do it up, then cruise the Caribbean for a number of years before selling it. Has other Australian done this, I know there are limits on visa's but can I buy in USA

There are heaps and heaps of old threads on this subject.

Bottom line is that you can buy in the US but will have to leave town soon after buying ( 30 - 90 days ) lest the local tax man get you. It depends where you buy but I'm not going to run through all the rules for you. Each state is different.
