For Sale: Watermaker Schenker Modular 30

We have a watermaker for sale. It is about 10 years old and always worked very good. We installed new membranes, a new pressure pump and a new power supply card last winter, but have not used it much this year, since it got harder and harder to start it up. The last months it did not start up at all. The dealer says it needs a service and probably a new set of gaskets. So it is a good system for somebody who is able to fix the minor problems himself.

The cool thing about the Schenker 30 Modular is that it runs with 12 Volt and (because of the clark pump) it only draws about 8 amps while producing 8 Gallons per hour. Its a similar system to the Spectra Watermaker.

We will be in Florida (Fort Lauderdale / West Palm Beach area) around Jan 20th till the end of the month. What about 3000 Dollars for the whole kit, including all modules, filters, etc.?

The boat is in storage in Deltaville VA right now. So I had time to take the pump-unit apart and found a small leakage in the tubing. That might have been the reason why the watermaker did not start up.

Since we have ordered a brandnew unit this one is for sale again. What about 2000 Dollars for the whole kit?

The new watermaker will arrive this coming monday, so the old one needs to be gone soon. We have ordered the same system, so we will have a nice big box to ship it

PS: I took the pump-unit apart and found out that the cause of the leakage was, that the mounting-fittings were only spot-welded and corroded when some saltwater got to them (after bleeding the lines). So the whole system tilted under the weight of the pump and the plastic-tubing developed a leakage. So somebody needs to build three new fittings from sheet metal (easy job) and remount the system.

I will send a rebuilt-manual and all the technical drawings with the system.

The starting problems, are they related to an electronic control system that could be removed for manual operation?

Was the unit picked with with some sort of solution?
