Palma Mallorca

Just a tip for next summer when the marina rates in the Balearics rocket up in July / August to silly amounts.

If anyone is seeking a midweek berth in Palma - try Alboran Marina - squeezed twix Real Club Nautico and Marina de Mallorca.

You can usually get them on Ch 9 or failing that try Fernando on +34 629757944 - he speaks good English.

They are a charter base facility and whilst usually full up on Friday / Saturday / Sunday - they often have space midweek and at rates usually at 50% of the other marinas in Palma.

I've no tie-in apart from keeping my yacht there this year. No shoreside heads or showers - but good water / electrics - and friendly staff.

Hoping this is helpful.

JOHN

Beautiful Mallorca

Dear swagman,

I have visited Palma, on many occasions. More than a dozen times, while I was in the US Navy. Great place to visit.

I recommend Palma as a stopping point, for anyone who reads this posting.

Regards,

Kevin
