great lakes marinas

I have been looking at marina prices in other areas and it looks to me that great lakes marinas are about the same costs as marinas where you can keep your boat year round. The marina here wants $6000 for a slip a and $5000 for outside winter storage. That is $11000 a year! And I can only use the boat about 6 months if that. I can't wait to get out of here.

$11000 per year!!! That is insane...where I'm at, in Georgian Bay, my 34 footer is well under $2500 per year, cdn$...that includes in, out, power wash, winter outside storage, power, water and pumpouts...and the most fabulous sunsets you could ask for....

I don't make up the prices, I just cry when I see them. In Florida I will get by for about $2500.a year for a mooring.

In the Bay we were paying $7000/yr for our cat.

Here in Venezuela we are paying less than $300/th includes electric, water, and warm weather.

THis is the first marina we have been in for a year. Can't wait to get back out on anchor where it is free!

In Michigan City the cost for a 30' slip is 1850., a 35' slip is 2190. 40' goes for 2630 per year.

This doesn't include elec, water, winterizing or storage.

That marina next to the beach in Michigan city is a nice place. Is that where you keep your boat? We go to the outlet mall there a few times a year and I go down and look at the boats.

Hey Gunner, sorry it took me so long to answer.

Yep, that's the MC Municipal Marina, next to the beach.

Hi Gunner.
You know where we are in St. Jo and that costs us $3500 for the season. That includes elect. In Alabama last winter we paid 250/mo + elect and next winter at a different marina we'll be paying 240.00 +elect and Cable tv Yippee.

Greg

BTW are you and the rest of those idiot trash box sledders coming again this year??

I would like to watch the box races again but I think we will be heading south. When is it? I did buy many boxes of lights if we did come again.

Are you going for your 5th win in a row? I on the other had feel that I win just by being there.
