Thumbs up Software upgrades...

I just wanted to let you know that I plan to upgrade the softwares that run our community in the next week or so. I will try to do this late one night so that it will minimize downtime.

After the upgrades we are going to have a ton of new features and we will all have to work together to get used to the newest version of all the software. It's going to be really fun and give us some tools that will help take us to the next level!

Look for more info in the days to come!

Andy

Sounds severe ! Break out the foul weather gear, pass me my harness and check the "ditch bag".

The first step is going to be moving the site to a new server. I will do this over the weekend. I am pretty good at this and we should have very little down time. Since this means I have to change the DNS some of your ISPs might not get the updated settings right away.

Once the site is over on the new server and I know I have a good database backup then I will do the upgrade. Pretty much all in a 24-48 hour period.

If you don't know what all the technical jargo means, don't worry. You should not even notice the move, just the software upgrade.

Ok, I have the site moved to a new server, the forum software upgraded and am working on the photo gallery. This was a MAJOR upgrade, so that means we will all need to help report bugs and teach each other how to use all the new features. I will make another post about this...
