Coast Guard had no regard for lives nor safety? Questionable.

The fact that Coast Guard personnel were armed with weapons, probably side arms, shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. They are Federal Law Enforcement on the water. Nobody is surprised when local police approach with side arm weapons.

As for "no regard for lives nor safety," I find that unusual. More likely that the helmsman was inexperienced and about 18 years of age. You didn't state whether a complaint was made to the Coast Guard which would have been the thing to do if people were actually at risk in the water.

Depends on if it was actually the USCG or the PR Maritime Police. The PRMP have a serious case of testosterone poisioning.
