window frames

just recieved a quote from the local window makers for 1500 for the two back windows in my cat anyone know of any good ideas/sites with ideas for making your own window frames

Without seeing more detail, I'm not sure you can operate without frames but many new boats the windows are "glued" in place with a combination sealant and adhesive. Cars as well.

There is a thread one of the forums about sexy windows. Take a look, maybe you can avoid the expense of frames all together.

i was orinally going to have fixed windows but have decided that becasue i live in the tropics opening windows would be cool, hence the frames

How about a fixed window with a port light inside it? Don't know if the combined cost would be as high as frames.
