Wellington Sailboat deck core? What is it made of?

The wife and I a planning on getting a bigger boat in about 5 years but much like working the real estate market we have been keeping an eye out for a fixer upper.

I am considering taking a look at a Wellington 47 down here in Florida that from the description is basically a just a hull and anything beyond that would be luck. As it has teak decks I am left wondering if the deck is cored and if so would need to be torn apart. From the limited discriptions I can find online I have not seen any reference to the deck core but have seen that the boat is positively boyant and solid glass.

Used 1977 Wellington Cutter Rig, Merritt Island, Fl - 32953 - BoatTrader.com

Seems that decent condition Wellingtons go for over $150k or so...
