Torquing keel bolts

I'm re-torqueing my keel bolts. In the process re-sealing and cleaning. Are there special sealants I should use around the bolts?

When I replaced my bolts the guru for my class did not offer a recommendation but did point out that the Dolphinite used in the original installation had lasted 50yr.

So I used that. Although I skipped the cotton that was part of the original install.

An issue you want to consider is what you torque the bolts to.
There’s a lot a engineering sources for what to torque bolts of varying materials to but most assume you have steel or some other metal in the grip.

On most boats fiberglass is in the grip and can be crushed is over tightened.
