Rust Removal

I have applied the Ospho rust remover to some rusted areas on the engine a couple of times and still have some rust remaining. What would be the next step. ei- dremel, wire brush, electric wheel grinder? The surface is not even.

Yes, all of those. Then try the engine paint kit Por15.

Wire brush it off. It doesnt have to be shiny bright. Then brush on Corroseal available at Rodda paint. It is a rust conversion process. It will turn black assuming no contaminents. Paint over with engine paint

Prep-lock, is another converter, for active rust, converts iron oxide, active rust, to iron phosphate, inactive rust.
Remove loose rust apply and allow to remain overnite to dry.
Wire brush any powdery residue and prime with rust preventer primer, then paint.

Rust Bullet (sp?) is an alternative/competitor to POR15 (mentioned above), & for stripping mechanically, there's an attachment for a drill which often times works better than a wire wheel. It's made of some grey synthetic, & as some of my men (when I was an Ensign) dubbed it, looks like pubic hair - so they came to call it Bionic Pubic Hair. But they work well for stripping; paint, rust, & various other things.
Plus, given that it's non-metallic, there's no iron/steel residue left, once you're finished, to rust. Unlike with wire wheels, some sanding agents/papers, grinders, etc.
