Painting topdeck and no skid

Hey guys are there any pros and cons to repainting topdeck and nonskid? I would like to paint the deck white and the nonskid a honey mustard color, but is there any reason you wouldn't? Im worried the rollers would leave streaks or a bumpy Finnish or that when someone went to sit down they got a butt of yellow! Anyone have any experiences?
