New To Me Gemini 105M

My offer was accepted today on a '98 Gemini 105M catamaran. I have read here and on the Gemini forum about the crazing of the gelcoat...and have had mixed feedback on just how big of an issue it is. Any first hand experience/knowledge is very much appreciated. Also, when we have the survey done...is there anything out of the ordinary I should have them look at/for? Thanks in advance...I hope this deal goes through all the way...the Admiral likes the boat...and that is the key to happy time on the water.

My boat is a 2005, so there could be a few differences I'm not aware of. Having said that, the spider cracks in the gelcoat are cosmetic. You might want to give special attention to cracks around stanchions, mast base and chain plates, however.

Proper operation of the stern drive lift mechanism should be checked. The rudders and center boards should also function properly. The bellows on the drive should be checked for cracks.

Most of the rest of the items would be the same on any sailboat, condition of the running rigging, condition of the standing rigging. Condition of the ground tackle. And the overall appearance and functionality of the cabin items, like sinks, water heater, A/C and so on.
