Help Finding Part Number

I'm trying to find a replacement solenoid for a Hitachi S114-206 starter. The local shops are pretty much useless, unless I want to completely rebuild the starter or buy a new one. Unfortunately, every time I go online and perform google searches, it only comes up with completely new starters or solenoids for other engines. I figure if I have an actual part number for the solenoid, that it would make finding a replacement much easier. Unfortunately, I haven't found that in the engine manual. I've got a Yanmar 2QM20, in case that helps.

Thanks for any help!

Look for the "Start Relay" on the Wiring Diagram. There's usually a long number there.

Check out the Wagner solenoids pages 14 thru 17.

Well, I found the part number finally (X211427003 in case someone is looking later), but it's unfortunately hard to find online. Finally ended up buying one on ebay for $90+ with shipping. Just seems expensive for a solenoid when a whole replacement starter is only $180. On that note, in case I have other problems with this starter, are there other models that will fit on a Yanmar 2QM20 that might be cheaper, better, more parts available in the future, etc.?

And, thank you Gord for your help.
