Fiberglass Blue J repair questions

Hi All,

Bought the boat recently in a poor condition, enjoyed one day on the water and discovered some flaws to be fixed. As I'm a newbie in this area, I'd like to ask for your advice

1) Haul material
Maybe you know what is the material the haul made from? When I checked it, it has some fiberglass structure on outer layers with a foam-like substance in between. It's flexible, not rigid like fiberglass deck on dinghy. On photos attached it's of blue color. I wonder if I can do a regular fiberglass repair to it?

2) Deck
From what I managed to know online it looks like I have fiberglass with a gelcoat finishing. So all the small cracks in coating I should be able to repair following multiple guides and videos. What worries me the most are the areas at the edge of the deck running down at right angle. What's the best approach to replace broken fragments (some of them got really loose)? I thought of attaching a metal angle from behind and do glass repair covering large areas on deck top and lip sides.
