Cheoy lLee Nav Lights

The contact springs/pins in this fixture are bent and will not allow me to replace the bulb.
Does anyone recognize the manufacturer? Maybe a suggestion for parts or another socket to use as a replacement?
I've tried the usual local sources... auto parts, truck fleet supply, West Marine, local marine salvage yards, but no luck.

I seem to have a knack for destroying AquaSignal bases. I wonder if the AquaSignal spring inset bit would work? You can buy the base alone for about $30. The metal is just sorta pressed together, you could pry it apart then just use the insert with the wire terms, and springs, maybe? Goo it in with 5200 or JB Weld?

That photo looks promising.

Just realized that the pictures in my post don't have a reference for scale. The large washer has a diameter of approx. 2 inches and the whole unit bolts into the shark-eye nav light in the bow.

Ribman, were I in your position, I'd be using this as a stimulus for replacing the Cheoy Lee units with a more modern LED fixture. It would give you less power consumption, brighter lights, less worries about replacements when the new innards to your antique lights die again, and very likely cost less.

What's not to like?

I have the Reliant, which had the heavy chrome plated lights. After rebuilding them 2 or 3 times, I changed to AquaSignal.

Those parts look like the Perko holders in my old lights.

I second Jim's suggestion: just dump the old junk and buy modern sealed LED nav lights and never repair or change bulbs again. They are superior in every way: lower power consumption, usually brighter, sealed against corrosion, no bulbs to change. I can't wait until my nav lights fail and I have to replace them - I might even have to break them

I realize the advantage of new LED fixtures and have been slowly changing over all my lights, In fact these are one of the few bulbs which are still incandescent. I just haven't decided on a plan of attack for replacement. The existing fixtures have been there since 1979 and have no problem with leaks etc. I'm not sure that would be the case after I get done. Mounting a new fixture on the pulpit would require rerouting wiring and a penetration through the deck. I do have a LED tricolor on the mast which covers me with the CG when sailing at night, but not while under power. This bulb is seldom used except when motoring in or out of the slip.

Perko may be a good lead as there is at least one other Perko fixture on the boat,
