best way to fix leak around wires through deck

Hi all, I would be interested in recommendations on the best way to address a small leak the source of which is where a wire goes through the port aft deck of my 1986 Caliber 28. the wire goes up into the pulpit frame and to the light on the stern. pic attached from below. What product/approach would folks recommend? thank you for your consideration.

Is the wire hole in the center the source of the leak, or do you need to pull and re-bed the pulpit?

IMHO, pull the pulpit, rebed the bases with Butyl. the squeeze through will seal the wire just fine.

And yes, I think the stanchion mount is not the source of the leak but it could probably use a refreshing. Thanks again.

If you pull the stanchion off, glueing a short piece of tube into the hole to pass the wire through will increase water resistance. Hollow fibreglass tent poles from cheap tents are perfect for this application if you can get hold of an old one to cut a small piece off.
