Well put. For a lot of people it is just about having a project to work on. In fact, I would say that if you truly desire to sail, building your own sailboat is just about the slowest and most expensive way to accomplish that goal. Building your own sailboat is more about the project than it is about sailing.

Exactly. You are looking at therapy by different means.

If I had a trailer, however, and lived nearby, I would pay $800 just for the wood that contains, particularly the teak and mahogany. And if that seems shocking, I would suggest you haven't tried to buy new hardwoods of late.
