Allan, howzit? I should have said WeetBix! I know the Nebes etc, come from Hout Bay. Best thing you can do is ask the other owners how they solved that problem. For my money, go with fibreglass, make a solid Polystyrene mould, cover with plastic bag, glass it. Then pour petrol in at the pipe holes, it will dissolve the mould. Then pull the bag out. Now make a Glass Fibre tube that goes to the bottom and cut off at 30 degrees, then glass that in, finally glass in the inlet tube that only penetrates an inch or two.

Howzit boet, Weetbix,Nebes,Hout Bay e.t.c. we know where you are from. In general most of the Shearwaters that l have seen have been fitted with undersized waterlocks because of the lack of space and what makes my problem worse is that l installed a 50hp engine where most of the others are kitted out with 35hp engines. That is why l utilised the space under my engine which works really well.Fibreglass is the right option so many thanks for your advice. Safe sailing ek'se.
