How many Pulses Yanmar 4JH4 54 hp

I have to drive the tach off the flywheel and am having issues getting the number of pulses that I should have. I have it programed for 127, and confirmed that the tach says that. But the tach makes out when I'm at half throttle.

Does anyone know where I can find the numberer of pulses? Thanks! _steve

Is the tach pickup using the flywheel teeth for the signal? Sometimes the distance from the teeth to pickup is rather sensitive. Some tachs have adjustable setting for counting impulses. Mine uses the alternator.

I'm using the Yanmar sender and I have it installed like it says in the instructions..... So I assume it has the correct clearance!

BTW - autocorrect.... not make out - maxes out when I am at half throttle -

I was told that it was 112 and that is what I’ve been using - but the older guy at VDO told me to try 127.... and that worked perfectly. I meant to say in the original post that it was set and confirmed at 112.
