power problem

I just bought an endevourcat 30, Any opinions on the liveaboardability (what a word) of these boats. Also, steering without power. It has a evenrude 40.

It sounds to me like Beau has worked hard on his theory, and has put a lot of thought, effort and money into his project. I am not an engineer by any stretch of the imagination, I have never studied naval architecture nor boat design of any kind.
I have no thoughts as to whether Beau will succeed in his project or not. My thought on this is to congratulate him on his attempts and encourage him all that I can.
As was mentioned earlier - I would love to see a video of this in motion at some point.
Keep working on it Beau - it will certainly not be wasted effort.

OK, I have placed 3 inch spacers under the rear outrigger arms pushing down the floats giving me more buoyancy in the stern and removed some batteries. The stern raised 3 inches and is almost clear of the water. Now for some testing.
I also have a slight angle downward towards the bow which will help with a clean water flow along the bottom. The bow is slighly deeper in the water, but not enough to effect the narrow angle of entry.

I have been working on another project which is why this is all taking a bit longer.
