Looking for a partner to purchase a Moorings Cat

I'm interested in buying into the Moorings program. Right now, they are offering a good deal on their Leopard 44 program. It's larger than I want, but they really are making an effort to sell it.

Alternatively, I would be interested in a smaller size for next year's fleet.

I'm looking for a partner whose main interest is in taking advantage of the owners privileges, but not necessarily in owning the boat long term:

Here is my plan
1) We share in the purchase and financing of the boat (unless you wish to self-finance)
2) You receive some, most, or all of the owner's benefits
3) Moorings pays for the maintenance and operation of the boat in the BVI
4) At the end of the program (or during the program), I will buy out the remaining ownership. If that's not feasible for any reason, then we'll work together to sell the boat.

Hi Art,

I may be interested. Send me some information and numbers if you have them. I will consider it.

I left you a PM to send me an email address. If you can give me some details about your situation and interests (looking forward 4-6 years), I'll try to construct some ideas around that. I have some flexibility around the details.

Re: Looking for a partner to purchase a Moorings Cat

Hi Art:

I have been looking at the Leopard 44 special offer as well, but as I will continue to be employed for quite some time, I simply can not use the number of owner weeks. Having one or even two partners would get me all the owner weeks that I could probably use.

I am primarily interested in using the owners weeks while it is in charter rather than owning the boat thereafter. My suggestion would be that the partners sell the boat at the end of the charter contract period (5 years) to either one of the partners or to a third party.

The deal has been advertised to expire August 5, but I am sure that it could be extended if there is insufficient response. If you are interested in talking further, please let me know. Thanks

Hi Art,

We've been looking at the Sunsail 444 based in Tortola.

Problem is the financing for Canadians, and we cannot self-finance right now.

We are interested, prefer 1/3 ownership, your thoughts/suggestions?

I know this thread is a bit old but I am looking at a Sunsail 339 deal. Having 1-2 partners would be of interest.
I would be willing to share the owners weeks during the 5 year charter deal and then keep the boat for shared use of 2-4 months each after the charter term.
Any interested parties?
