Good Trimaran

It is a lot harder to find a good Trimaran than it is a Cat. I am only guessing but it is because tha market is driven by folks who have chartered, and many of those cats are available, and the labor and time is much larger to build a similar tri over a cat. All that being said (I am a tri kinda guy) I see this boat is for sale again. I saw it for sale a while ago. It is a fine example of a good solid boat. I have nothing to gain by this. The thing is down unda!

Jmolan,
I'm also a tri man at heart, even though I currently own a 10.2m cruising cat and am happy with that. Mght go for a Harryproa as my next boat in a few years time.

I guess the tri / cat approach has a lot to do with the interior space difference.

Regarding this Marples cat I am totally surprised at the asking price for a 22 year old trimaran. For that kind of money you can find many more newer designs and builds taking care of future maintenance problems and better sailing characteristics.

Regards from sunny Cape Town
